5K Challenge for CHHANGE a relevant reminder The Center is a non profit, volunteer organization founded in 1979. It addresses human rights and civil rights issues worldwide. It maintains an extensive library and provides educational resources as well as speakers. The Center is housed on the Brookdale Campus near the start and finish of the race. It is an especially relevant issue today with what many consider genocide ongoing today in Iraq and Syria. It is important to learn lessons from the past and not repeat them. The top finishers last year for the men were Elliot Gindi age 14 of Long Branch in a time of 17:58. He was followed by Ruffino Mendez of Metuchen in a time of 18:06 and then Chris Mondie of Aberdeen in 18:39. Breaking the tape first for the women was 16 year old Mary Sutton of Princeton in a time of 20:28. She was followed by Bethany Rivera of Hazlet in 21:04 and then Haley McMeel of Califon in 22:11. He is an active participant in road races of all distances including marathons and triathalons. He is a Past President of the Jersey Shore Running Club, past Editor of the Club's Newsletter and currently maintains the club's web sites. He has managed many local events to include the Asbury Park Half Marathon, Jersey Shore Relay Marathon, Boardwalk Relay and other events. He is a Road Runners Club of America Certified Coach.
